If you're looking at this blog, chances are you're interested in philosophy. So you will most likely enjoy the History of Philosophy podcast, presented by Peter Adamson, professor of Ancient and Medieval Philosophy at King's College, London.
Adamson describes his entertaining and informative podcast as a history of philosophy 'without any gaps', and so far it certainly lives up to the hype. He's already done 44 episodes and hasn't yet got any further than Aristotle. So it's pretty thorough. At this rate, I reckon he'll need at least a few hundred episodes to reach the present day.
Anyway, it's a great free resource. Prof. Adamson really knows his stuff, and is a very engaging presenter. So check it out: here
Also, you can now download some free sample chapters from my new book, You Kant Make It Up: Strange Ideas from History's Greatest Philosophers. It's just been released in Ebook format. So it can be downloaded onto Kindle, PC, Ipad, Iphone and Android.
You'll find a description of the book, plus some sample chapters at Amazon's UK and Amazon's US site. They're here and here.
The book is also available in paperback, of course - and is currently on sale at a big discount from Amazon's UK store.
Happy philosophising!
